Survival Snowshoes

For children ( ages 6 and up with a participating adult)

Learn how to make  an emergency pair of snowshoes!  This “how-to” class provides children with all the basics to fashion a pair of back country snowshoes. Participants will make an actual pair of decorative snowshoes constructed from white pine boughs. While the snowshoes are really for decorative purposes, the skills learned can be used to make an emergency pair of snowshoes! Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.
