Sal Gilbertie- Planting and Cooking with Herbs

Sal with veggies 02Saturday, March 12 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street

Nationally renowned herb expert Sal Gilbertie will help launch us into spring with a presentation on herbs – from garden to kitchen.  One of the country’s leading growers and suppliers of herbs, Gilbertie has been at the forefront of the herb movement for more that 40 years.

Gilbertie’s program will offer advice on how to plant, grow, use and preserve herbs–whether you are planning a large garden, a deck container, or just a window box.  “Herbs are so easy to grow and give so much in return-beauty, flavor, fragrance-fascinating and endless uses,” says Gilbertie.    This program is free, but suggested donations of $5 will be welcome.  Books by Sal Gilbertie and herbs will be available for purchase.  Preregistration required, call 203-259-6305 ext. 109.
