School may be closed but Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Fairfield is open Friday Feb. 16 for a morning family program about the awesome cold-blooded critters we know as reptiles and amphibians.
At this interactive learning event we’ll creep, slither and hop into a fascinating world and get to know some of the Center’s most interesting and surprising residents. Featured guests will include: Sally the salamander, Tommy the toad, Stanley the turtle, Toothless the gecko, Carl the bearded dragon and others. Learn what they eat and how they adapt to their environment. Hands-on activities will include a craft.
The program runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr St. Children of all ages are welcome, accompanied by a participating adult. The cost is $5 per child. Pre-registration is required. Click here to register online.
