Advanced Volunteer Training: Bird Monitoring & Data Collection

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Current volunteers may join, Jim Arrigoni, conservation biologist, to learn about citizen science projects dedicated to monitoring trends in bird populations. Topics covered will include the rationale for monitoring and the nitty-gritty aspects of data collection. A variety of established projects will be addressed, including the Connecticut Bird Atlas, which we are currently collecting data. A short walk outside is included to put into practice protocols.
