Watch and listen to what’s going on in the water at Deer Pond Farm

May 8, 2020 — I did a crossword puzzle the other day in which one of the clues was something like “loathsome person” and the answer was “toad.” I took umbrage. I thought: what an insult to toads! The trill of the American toad is one of the most beautiful sounds in nature. There is nothing loathsome about it.
