Webinar: Barred, Great-horned, Screech and the Other Owls of Connecticut
July 6, 2020 — While most of the owls we find in Connecticut are here year-round, there are certain times of the year where we tend to see and hear them more.
One of those times is summer when hatchlings are getting ready to leave the nest.
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, July 7, at 7 p.m., for an eye- and ear-catching webinar, All About Owls.
Teacher-naturalist Joe Attwater will go over the adaptations that make these birds night hunters, and which owls you can see (and hear) in Connecticut.
Joe will discuss:
- Owl species of CT and how to ID them
- Adaptations
- Owl nesting and fledglings
While we are offering this program for free, we do ask that you consider a suggested donation of $10.
