Tuesday evening webinar: Backyard Bird Feeders
Winter is a tough time for birds. Wet and cold weather, fewer food sources, and less cover from predators make surviving quite a task for those species that stick around Connecticut (or migrate from further north) in the winter.
But you can help! And because maintaining a bird feeder is as much about enjoying the birds as it is about feeding them, you’ll get the added satisfaction of attracting more birds and more species. It’s a win-win.
Learn how during this week’s Backyard Bird Feeders webinar. It’s set for Tuesday, December 1, 7 p.m.
Teacher naturalist Joe Attwater will discuss:
- How birds survive winter in Connecticut
- Winter bird species
- How to create a winter bird habitat in your yard
We’re offering the program for free, but we ask that you consider a donation of $10
