Office Administrative Assistant
Position Summary
CAS-RTPEC is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant. She/he is the first face of CAS-RTPEC many folks encounter and represents our collaborative culture. This position reports to the Director. The Administrative Assistant will endorse RTPEC’s mission of education, advocacy and conservation of the Lower Connecticut River Estuary. The Administrative Assistant is a highly visible and organized team member with solid experience in office management.
To be a successful Office Administrative Assistant, you will need to be highly organized, able to work on deadlines, be competent in using Donor Database (Raisers Edge) and Microsoft Office –word and excel, and have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. The Office Administrative Assistant will be in charge of general office duties, volunteers and assisting the RTPEC Director.
This is a full-time or part-time position. The Office Administrative Assistant reports to the Director of RTPEC. Anticipated start date: June 1, 2023.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director. Utilize Outlook, Microsoft Office and Raisers Edge to manage schedules, data.
- Perform administrative functions for office and events. Maintain vendor records, reconcile statements, proofread materials, coordinate event lists, mailings, etc.
- Provide high level of customer service. Be welcoming and knowledgeable about RTPEC happenings when answering phones and interacting with visitors.
- Organize meetings. Assist with meeting preparation. Maintain schedules, prepare publications, organize mailings, order supplies etc.
- Database management. Utilize database for communication including outreach, requests and tracking as requested by Director.
- Perform general office duties. Order office supplies, maintain organization of files and oversee office equipment maintenance.
- Prepare necessary presentation and outreach materials for director including preparing communication material, preparing various mailings (e-mail, snail mail, and social media).
- Maintain confidentiality.
A successful Office Administrative Assistant will have a broad range of skills and experiences.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent communication -presentation, verbal and writing skills;
- Exceptional Organization, planning and monitoring skills;
- Experience with Donor Database (Raisers Edge)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- An understanding of online platforms (social media, website editing, etc.)
- Experience with scheduling management
- Team player, sense of humor, collaborative and positive
- Bachelor degree and experience in an administrative capacity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
