Spring Flowers and Ferns Nature Walk

Tuesday, May 9*
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary is a treasure-trove of springtime growth, and the perfect place to join botanist Jim Cortina on an exploratory walk to identify spring wildflowers and ferns.

Weaving through fields, woodlands and marshes, the Sanctuary trails offer a diversity of habitats for viewing a great variety of plants. In addition to ferns, we’ll search for flowers such as wild geraniums, jack-in-the-pulpits and trilliums, stopping along the way to learn interesting facts. This program is for adults. Bring binoculars if you have them – we never know what we may encounter during this active season.

Members $10, Non-members $12. Register here.

*Rescheduled from May 2. Expect strenuous walking. Once registered, participants will need to complete a waiver. This program is at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield.
