Bird Walk at Sherwood Island State Park
Saturday, October 19
9:30 – 11 a.m.
Join Connecticut Audubon’s Educator/Naturalist Dave Havens on this walk to observe and learn about native and migrating species at a premier bird watching location.
Sherwood Island, one of the largest undeveloped parcels of coastal land in the state, has varied habitat (shorelines, marshes, meadows, woods and dunes) that attract a wide range of bird species–especially during fall migration when birds are on the move.
Pre-registration is required. Members $15, Non-members $20. Register here.
This walk is geared toward adults; all levels of birders are welcome. Binoculars are recommended. This walk will be held at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport (we will meet at the pavilion).
