The Fisher in Connecticut

Paul Colburn a CT DEEP master wildlife conservationist, will present The Fisher in Connecticut on Saturday, September 27, at 2:00 p.m. at The Connecticut Audubon Society (CAS) Center at Pomfret, 218 Day Road, Pomfret Center. Adult admission is $5.00 for CAS members, $10.00 for non-members. There is no charge for children aged 12 and under.

Paul will review the natural history of the fisher, including its habitat needs, diet, behavior, and reproduction. The fisher is native to Connecticut but was extirpated from the state by the early twentieth century, due to over-trapping and habitat loss. Read more.
