Here Comes the Sun, with Author Bill McKibben, Tuesday, February 3
Starting with The End of Nature in 1989, author and environmentalist Bill McKibben has been on a quest to use the power of the pen to harness the power of the people to act on climate change.
He’ll bring that crusade to Connecticut via Zoom on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. with a special presentation based on his latest book, Here Comes the Sun.

The book a call to harness the power of the sun at a time when climate change action seems to be waning. But McKibben insists the moment is also full of possibility.
Energy from the sun and wind is suddenly the cheapest power on the planet and growing faster than any energy source in history. If we can keep accelerating the pace, he argues, we have a chance.
McKibben’s talk is being arranged by Connecticut Audubon’s Center at Pomfret, which is organizing a watch party via Zoom. Or you can catch McKibben via Zoom from your home.
Bill McKibben’s presentation is free! If you attend the event at the Center at Pomfret, copies of Here Comes the Sun will be available at cost.
