The Season of Giving: Support Connecticut Audubon Society’s 2013 Annual Fund

A letter from the President of Connecticut Audubon Society:

Every year during this time, I reflect on the great generosity that exists in our community. We come together to support those who need it most, and reinvest our commitment to organizations that are doing the work that we believe so much in. I also reflect on the great friends and supporters that Connecticut Audubon is so fortunate to have – friends like you – and give thanks.

Because of you, we continue to lead the way in conservation efforts for our state. This past year, Connecticut Audubon’s nature centers expanded their reach to over 200,000 children, from Bridgeport to Glastonbury, providing experiential education programs aligned with our state’s rigorous education standards. Our conservation scientists worked with municipalities from across the state to foster land management based on best practices, and our advocacy efforts were strongly felt in Hartford, as we advocated against the use of ATVs (4 wheelers, dirt bikes and other all terrain vehicles) in our state parks, among other things.

Despite all we have accomplished, there is always more to do. During this holiday season, as you reflect on the past year and look forward to what’s ahead, I ask you to think about the importance of, and need for, conservation in our state, and consider a special year-end gift to help us continue to reverse the decline of Connecticut’s most critical habitats.

It is your support that allows us to educate, to conserve, to research and to advocate on your behalf. With your gift, you are making a personal investment in our state’s conservation efforts.

I thank you for your past investment in us, and wish you and your loved ones an abundance of joy, health and happiness in 2014.

With warm wishes,

brash sig

Alexander R. Brash
President
Connecticut Audubon Society

P.S. If you have already sent a gift in response to our annual appeal, please accept our sincerest thanks for your generosity. We look forward to keeping you informed of our efforts in the New Year.
