We are thrilled to announce that four new authors are joining our roster for our weekly Connecticut Audubon Society Bird Finder this year: Greg Hanisek, Nick Bonomo, Kathy Van Der Aue and Michael Aurelia.

Greg Hanisek is up first.  His first post, about our two kinglets, will be available soon. Greg is a retired journalist who still writes a weekly nature column for the Republican-American newspaper in Waterbury.

He’s editor of the Connecticut Warbler, the quarterly journal of the Connecticut Ornithological Association; secretary of the Avian Records Committee of Connecticut; and has an interest all aspects of nature. Greg has contributed to our annual Connecticut State of the Birds report, including a 2008 article titled “Bobolink: Jewel of the Grassland.”

We will have more about the other new authors in the coming weeks. Greg, Nick, Kathy and Mike join our regular authors, Milan Bull, Frank Gallo, Andy Rzeznikiewicz, Andy Griswold, Alex Brash, and Michelle Eckman.

Read all of their weekly posts on the blog.
