Naturalist-Guided Walks for Small Groups, July 9 (Center at Fairfield)
Thursday, July 9
10 a.m. – Noon or 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Looking for private, outdoor, small group drop-off activities for your kids? Then “take a walk on the wild side” with us to see what’s happening in the natural world on this small group, guided walk in the Center at Fairfield’s Larsen Sanctuary.
A Connecticut Audubon staff naturalist will provide individualized attention on this specially designed exploration, which is limited to a maximum of four (4) pre-registered and pre-paid attendees. Choose from a variety of activities such as pond explorations, insect netting and log roll investigations.
Participants are asked to bring and wear masks when social distancing is not possible. The entire program is outdoors, so please bring water, a sun hat and apply sunblock and bug spray before arriving. Note: Center building and facilities (including restrooms) are closed, however, there are portable toilets available (please bring hand sanitizer).
$100 per group (max of 4 to a group). Drop off for kids ages 8 and up (family groups also welcome!) In case of rain, the program will be rescheduled. Pre-registration required by one person on behalf of the group; please click below to register. Once registered, group participants will need to complete a waiver. This program is at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield, CT.
