September 28, 2024
September 28, 2024, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Deer Pond Farm
$5 Member, $10 Non-Members
Join us at Deer Pond Farm in collaboration with Dr. Chad Seewagen and Dr. Sarah Deckel of the Great Hollow Nature Preserve to get a close-up look at how permitted researchers safely catch migrating songbirds, mark them with identification bands, collect measurements and other data. We’ll also review the behavioral and physiological adaptations that allow these tiny birds to fly thousands of miles between their northern breeding grounds and southern wintering grounds.
Register here for the September 28 program.
This program meets at Deer Pond Farm, 57 Wakeman Hill Road, Sherman, CT 06784.
