Toddlers, Trails, and Tales

November 6, 2024 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Parents, grandparents, and guardians come out for some fresh air with your toddlers, take a nature walk, and enjoy an activity or story. Led by retired Pomfret Community School kindergarten teacher, Carolyn Otto, the morning will be full of fun adventures. Dress for the weather. Register by calling 860-928-4948. Fee:  $4 per child per session for CAS members; $8 per child per session. (Fee is for one toddler with one adult.)

Trail Wood Troubadours

Play and sing songs written from 1959-1963, the years the Teale’s lived at Trail Wood. A PDF of chords and lyrics will be provided. Simple chords will be projected on screen so all levels can follow along! Limited to 10 participants per session. Registration required. Email trailwood@ctaudubon.org. Free.

Looking for a challenge? Enjoy the thrill of a brisk hike at Deer Pond Farm in the crisp autumn air! This 4–5-mile hike (2-2.5- mile per hour pace) will be led by volunteer Peggy Stewart. This hike has some gradual climbs and we'll be stepping it out. Come dressed for the weather.

Saw-whet Owl Banding Demonstration
