Conservation

The Connecticut Audubon Society has been an independent champion for the state’s birds and their environments since 1898.

We manage 22 wildlife sanctuaries and more than 3,400 acres, and are a statewide leader in habitat restoration—from the coast of Long Island Sound to the inland forests and grasslands.

Connecticut Audubon integrates citizen science, expert-led stewardship, and land preservation to help ensure that the state’s natural heritage remains a thriving, resilient haven for wildlife and residents alike. Our goal is to help Connecticut do its share to to bring birds back from the 30% population decline since 1970.
