Audubon Alliance for Coastal Waterbirds

The Audubon Alliance for Coastal Waterbirds is a conservation partnership dedicated to protecting threatened beach-nesting and migratory birds along the Connecticut shoreline.

It includes the Connecticut Audubon Society, Audubon Connecticut (the state office of the National Audubon Society), The Nature Conservancy, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The Alliance focuses on species that are vulnerable to human disturbance and habitat loss, including Piping Plover, American Oystercatcher, Least Tern, and Common Tern, all of which nest in Connecticut, and Semipalmated Sandpipers and other shorebirds that stop here during migration.
