Fairfield Nature Explorer Program – in Partnership with Pequot Library

Adventures await with the Summer Nature Explorer Program - a collaboration between CT Audubon and Pequot Library.

1. Start at Pequot Library to see John James Audubon's historic Birds of America folio on display in the Reading Room.

2. Sign out a Nature Explorer backpack and field guide and take them with you on a scavenger hunt -- on the Library's nature trail, and at parks and open spaces around town -- as you search for, and identify, some of the birds that Audubon painted.

It's a free, fun interactive way for families and nature lovers of all ages to connect with birds, explore Fairfield's natural areas, and experience the wonder of the outdoors all summer long.
