A Member Photography Showcase
See Connecticut’s wild places through the eyes of our members.
As part of Membership Appreciation Month, we invite Connecticut Audubon Society members of all ages and photography experience to share the birds, wildlife, landscapes, and moments in nature that inspire them.
Whether you photograph with a professional camera or your phone, we want to see Connecticut through your lens.
This showcase is all about celebrating our members and our shared connection to the natural world. It is meant to be fun, welcoming, and accessible. You do not need to be an experienced photographer to participate.
Who Can Participate?
The photography showcase is open to current Connecticut Audubon Society members of all ages and skill levels, except Connecticut Audubon Society staff members and their immediate families.
Photos must have been taken:
- In Connecticut, or
- At Connecticut Audubon Society’s Deer Pond Farm property in Pawling, New York.
How to Participate
Photos may have been taken at any time. They do not need to be taken during Membership Appreciation Month.
If your photograph was taken at a Connecticut Audubon Society sanctuary or property, please let us know when submitting your entry.
Members may submit up to five photographs.
For each photograph, please include:
- Your name
- The photography category
- Where the photograph was taken
- A short caption of one or two sentences
- For the Young Bird Photographer category, the photographer’s age
Email up to 5 photos per member as attachments to photos@ctaudubon.org.
Entries must be received by September 30.
(Please attach photographs to your email rather than inserting them into the body of the message.)

Membership Appreciation Month is our chance to say thank you to the people who make Connecticut Audubon’s work possible.
We cannot wait to see the birds, wildlife, places, and moments in nature that have caught your eye.
