With over 40 years of experience rearing Monarch butterflies, the presenter, Mike Walace, maintains a property certified by Monarch Watch as a Monarch Waystation and participates in the Pollinator Pathway, providing a thriving habitat for butterflies and other pollinators.

This informative program will guide participants through the essentials of designing a successful butterfly garden. Topics will include where to place your garden, how large it should be, and which plants best support pollinators throughout the season. Special emphasis will be placed on the Monarch butterfly and the plants they depend on.

Attendees will also learn fascinating facts about the Monarch’s remarkable migration and how to identify Monarch eggs and caterpillars in the garden.
